There's a new e-bike in town. The Scott Lumen eRide 910 is light enough to pass for a regular trail bike, with a motor so subtle it can power you up the steepest climbs and get out of the way when you're ready to rip the descent.
Being a no-compromises XC e-bike with the new TQ-HPR50 motor inside, the Scott Lumen eRide 910 is in a class of its own. The Lumen is Scott's e-bike version of their beloved Spark, using the same flex stay suspension design, linkage, one-piece bar and stem, internal cable routing, and head angle adjustment.
The Scott Lumen eRide 910 weighs a mere 38.8 pounds. Yes. You read that right. A full suspension, electric pedal assist mountain bike that weighs as much as many standard mountain bikes on the market. Light as a feather for your strongest pursuits.
The lightweight motor comes with a smaller battery, but don’t let that scare you. The motor needs less energy to move a lighter bike, meaning fewer watts for the same result. There is also a 160Wh range-extending battery available which mounts to the frame like a water bottle cage.
The Lumen also has a handlebar-mounted switch, TQ HPR display and accompanying smartphone app to adjust and customize the bike’s settings and view the battery charge level and journey statistics. The customization is detailed down to your preferred assist start level. Choose a subtle assist level to kick in after a more natural feeling start, or tell the motor to kick in immediately so you feel the assist from the split second you start pedaling. You'll be able to go for the analog bike feel, the electric rocket, or anything in-between.
Scott loaded up the Scott Lumen eRide 910 with only the best. That includes a set of 2.4" Schwalbe Wicked Will tires and a Syncros Duncan Dropper Post 2.0 to compliment a 1x12 speed drivetrain that's great for climbing, sprinting or simply dropping your competitors no matter the trail. Up front you've got a FOX 34 Float Rhythm Air Grip fork while a FOX NUDE 5T EVOL Trunnion shock handles the big hits in back.
You might be asking yourself, "But where is the shock?" The answer: inside the frame. This discrete design feature prevents the shock from getting caked in mud or scratched up in a crash and offers overall protection throughout your ride. With more supporting frame material around the mounting points and BB area, you get a stiffer frame, lower center of gravity, and space for two water bottles.
The Scott Lumen eRide 910 is one to conquer it all and have maximum amounts of fun while doing so. Throw a leg over one and feel the trail come alive!
