The new SCOTT Contessa Genius 920 receives a bold new redesign that takes this trail bike up to the next level. Its ‘any trail, any time’ mantra is taken up a notch thanks to unique suspension features, cutting-edge design, and top-level geometry.

The base of the SCOTT Contessa Genius is its Integrated Suspension Technology, or a fancy name for hiding its rear suspension inside of the frame. You read that right: the shock is INSIDE the frame. To make it work, SCOTT has a built-in sag indicator to every Genius, found on the non-drive side of the bike’s rocker link. SCOTT says it gives the frame a lower center of gravity. Importantly, however, mounting the shock lower means the frame is stiffer around the bottom bracket without adding any extra weight.

Want to access the shock? That is found through a downtube door that is available at a push of a button, also doubling as durable bottom bracket protection.

Each SCOTT Contessa Genius uses a three-position shock adjustment lever. Called TwinLoc, this lever is found on the handlebars and controls both the fork and shock simultaneously. This fundamentally changes the character of the bike: the wide-open setting is best for descending, while the middle ‘traction’ setting offers better pedal strike clearance, a more aggressive climbing position, and greater suspension efficiency. And of course, if you’re on dirt road, you can place the suspension in a full lockout.

Want to customize your SCOTT Contessa Genius? Let’s talk and make your bike exactly what you want it to be, from changing wheels to saddle, tires, and more.
