The Santa Cruz Blur has long been a known quantity, purpose built for speed, endurance and all-around XC bliss. The latest generation of Blur pushes the envelope further as the lightest full-suspension carbon XC bike ever produced by Santa Cruz. We’re big fans of the Blur here at Contender, and we’re always stoked to find more ways to make it the best bike for you.  

It’s a well known condition of working at a bike shop that one spends a lot of time and effort scheming, building and riding great builds. For this “Shop Pick Build” our own Ryan and Mat came up with this ideal setup and we’re excited to offer it up while supplies last!

The idea is pretty simple: We started with the Blur TR CC X0 AXS Transmission Reserve kit and upgraded the drivetrain with SRAM’s line-topping XX SL rear derailleur, crankset, cassette and chain, along with the SRAM AXS Pod Ultimate Bridge shifter. The result is you shave off some weight and get nearly all of the build features of the top level Blur, but at a significantly lower price!

Our Shop Pick Blur features a 120mm FOX 34SC Float Factory fork, a 190x45 FOX Float Factory rear shock, Reserve 28 XC rims with Industry Nine 1/1 hubs, SRAM Level Silver Stealth 4-Piston brakes and Maxxis Rekon Race WT EXO tires.
